Two Tries and Two Different Halves

The Georgian national rugby union team lost the first match of World Cup to Wales.

The biggest positive that we can see in today’s match was two tries which Milton Haig’s team scored in the second half. However, fate of the match was already decided by that time because Wales had scored 3 tries by the 19th minute. The first half finished 29:0 in favor of Wales.

The Lelos played better in the second half and at the 42nd minute Shalva Mamukashvili scored the first Georgian try at the current World Cup. Levan Chilachava scored the second try at the 69th minute. Tedo Abzhandadze scored both conversions.

The second half finished tie – 14:14 but, finally, Wales won the match 43:14.

As a result, The Lelos have unsuccessful start at World Cup. They will hold the next match against Uruguay on September 29.
