The Georgia sevens rugby team was close to beating Great Britain Lions but unfortunately, they lost 14:15.

It is important for Georgia to play in semifinal of Gdynia leg of Sevens Grand Prix Series.

The Georgians started the first match of the current leg badly. However, then they improved their game, Ramaz Kharazishvili scored a try and Mamuka Ninidze used conversion. The first half finished 7:5.

In the second half Zurab Dzneladze scored a try and Ninidze used conversion again – 14:5. Soon the Brits also scored a try but missed conversion. At the end of the match our opponent managed to score a try again, missed conversion and advanced with 1 point. Finally, the match finished 15:14.

Georgia will hold the next match against France at 16:43 Tbilisi time.
