Georgian U-20 rugby team beat Italy 18:17 in World Championship’s semifinal for 9-12 places. Our opponent for the 9th place will be France, which defeated Japan 41:27. World Rugby’s official website publishes a comment of Vasil Lobzhanidze (captain of Georgian U-20 team):
“Of course, we are very happy, it was an excellent result. Georgia is the debutant of this tournament and the first victory gave us great joy. We host the tournament next year, which is a great honor for us. We wanted to show that we could gain a well-deserved place in the next World Championship and we have managed it”.
