In the second round match of European Championship, Georgian rugby national team defeated Portugal 20:15.

The Georgians started the meeting actively and at the 57^th second Davit Kacharava scored a try. Merab Kvirikashvili could not make a conversion exactly.

The visitors made the score 9:8 at the end of the first half. At the 38^th and the 3^rd minute added by the referee Merab Kvirikashvili scored two free conversions and the Georgians won the first 40-minutes 14:9.

After the break, the Georgians promoted again and at the 47^th minute Merab Kvirikashvili earned another 3 points – 17:9. At the end of the meeting, Portugal used penalty and fixed the final score 20:15.

The Georgian rugby team will play the 3^rd round match of the European Championship against Spanish team in Madrid on February 28^th. The meeting will start at 19:00 Tbilisi time.
