Mamuka Gorgodze, leader of Georgian national rugby union team and French “Montpellier”, will be awarded on March 26. French daily rugby edition “Midi Olympique” will award Gorgodze with special reward “Oscar”.

Our “Gulivera” and “Gorgodzila” in French surprises rugby world and his perfect play in French Top 14 and at “Heineken Cup” was praised with this reward. The ceremony will take place on “Stade Yves-du-Manoir”. Sponsors of “Montpellier”, teammates of Mamuka, members of “Montpellier” youth team and thousands of invited guests will attend the ceremony. Jean Abelu and Roman Magelan will host the evening.

Three films made by “Midi Olympique” are planned to show in the evening. These films are dedicated to Mamuka Gorgodze. Gorgodze will host the 50^thmatch in the Georgian team on March 9. He has scored 22 tries. The 28-year-old Mamuka has played for “Montpellier” since 2005. He has held 118 matches and scored 14 tries in French Top 14. Gorgodze has scored 4 tries in 17 matches at “Challenge Cup”. Mamuka has scored 2 tries in 9 matches at “Heineken Cup”. This year “Montpellier” made through to ¼ final of “Heineken Cup” and plays for playoff of Top 14.
