“Castres” of Anton Peikrishvili, which ended French championship with the fourth place, played very well in the play-off and in the decisive match beat “Toulon” the winner of “Heineken Cup”- 19:14. As you know Davit Kubriashvili, Levan Chilachava and Kote Mikautadze play for “Toulon”. Since 1993 “Castres” has became the champion of the country first time, in total, it has won the cup four times.

From Georgian legionaries of the club, only Kubriashvili was in the line-ups, but the coach did not let him play. Anton Peikrishvili was not in the staff but in spite of this he played a big role in championship of the club. 25-year-old Georgian first liner played 15 matches at Top 14 in the previous season and in 5 matches he was in the line-ups and spent 504 minutes on the field in total. Besides this, he participated in four matches of “Heineken Cup” and three times he was playing since the first minute (in total 214 minutes).

The final match was held at “Stade France”.
