Real Fight Starts Now

 

This evening the Georgian U-19 national rugby union team will try to beat Spain at European Youth Championship which is under way in the capital of Portugal, Lisbon. The match will start at 21:00 Tbilisi time.

In ¼ final “little Lelos” defeated Czech Republic 69:8. It was a good rehearsal for the upcoming match where Georgian will face Spain which won over Romania. Spain beat Romania 27:3 and scored 4 tries.

After the first match coach of the Georgian team told the official website of Georgian Rugby Union: “I am satisfied with my team’s play. They carried out my instructions and won deservedly. It is worth mentioning that it is tough to play constructively against weak opponent. We overcame the Czech obstacle and now we are preparing for Spain”.

Irakli Abuseridze, former captain and sports director of the Georgian Rugby Union, was satisfied with the play of U-19 team: “I am satisfied with our team’s play. They play well in defense and offence as well”.

The Georgians have to prove their possibilities against Spain this evening. If they win European Championship, they will compete in World Cup 2014 which will take place in Hong Kong.
