Two Days Off and Then Work Again

Georgian U-19 rugby team returned this morning in Tbilisi, but coaches and rugby players already think about World Cup Trophy and about the result, which they should show there.

The Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs hosted the apprentices of Davit Vartaniani, but because of the lack of time all of them could not attend this press conference. Instead of this, the ministry said, that the hard work of these boys would be appraised for the rugby union and the country will play attention to rugby:

“We gathered here for good news and I want to congratulate all of you this great success. It was confirmed once again that rugby is our game. The result is visible and tangible and the GRU deserves support” – said Irakli Dolaberidze, head of the department of sports.

Zurab Amonashvili, one of the coaches of the team added: “This success comes from their families and I want to thank all of the boy’s family who participated in this Championship. At this stage our goal was to win, but we have bigger goals ahead – to achieve success at the World Trophy.

Everybody said, that we were better than our opponents, but we still had some flaws and we must work to improve them. Factually we should start everything from the beginning – player’s selection, analysis of games. We will rest for 2-3 days and the working process will be resumed with the selection.”

Saba Shubitidze (Captain): “Thanks to everyone who supported us. We all were united and the result is obvious. Moreover, we always felt support from Gia Nizharadze, Irakli Abuseridze and Georgia and this helped us”.
