The Georgian national rugby union team will hold the second test-match of November against the USA in Rustavi.
There are some changes in the host team. The Americans are ready for the fight. They refused to make comments before the match. Our team promises an interesting match to the Rustavi spectators.
Richard Dixon (former head coach of the Georgian national rugby union team): “Everybody has its time and I think Milton and his team are reaching goal step by step. The coach must leave the team in better situation and I think I did it. Now the team is being built. Rugby Union supports it. I am a part of the Georgian team and I want to see how “The Lelos” will go through the final tournament of World Cup. I think we can do it at World Cup 2015”.
Irakli Machkhaneli (captain of the Georgian national team): “America is tougher opponent than Canada but we are ready to do our best for victory. I will not be on the field tomorrow but Mamuka Gorgodze will do everything to achieve the goal”.
Giorgi Nizharadze (president of Georgian Rugby Union): “Georgia deserved to host three very strong opponents. In spite of that we lacked some rugby players, we gained victory over Canada. Winning such matches is very sweet but this success is the past and now we think about beating the USA. Hopefully, we will prove that we are stronger than they”.
Irakli Abuseridze (former captain of the Georgian team): “It is very tough to watch the team developing and not to participate in it but time passes and changes are necessary. I could have played at high level for 2-3 years but the coaches decided so… I will do my best to help the team. I think what we did against Canada is not our maximum. We can do more”.
Milton Haig (head coach of the Georgian team): “In the previous match Zibzibadze replaced Machkhaneli and he did great. Of course, it is bad when captain does not play but Gorgodze will carry out his instructions. Sutiashvili will play instead of Kolelishvili.
We could not have easy matches against the USA and Canada. Mamuka Gorgodze is a leader and he will play so well that we will not feel the absence of the captain”.
