Group B: Ireland's Second Failure

Ireland failed to Scotland in the second round match of Group B at Aia Arena.

The match started with the advantage of the Shamrocks and they were winning 10:0 at the 25th minute. However, the Thistles scored two tries at the 29th and the 39th minutes and the first half finished 10:12.

After that the teams exchanged one penalty and one try. Eastgate scored two tries at the 61st and the 69th minutes which were followed by Ireland’s penalty and Kelly’s try – 28:32.

Scotland earned 5 points and is in the 2nd place. Ireland is in the last place with 2 points.
