The Georgia U-20 rugby team defeated Uruguay 46:12 in the first match of 2015 World Rugby U-20 Trophy which is under way in the capital of Portugal, Lisbon.
In the first half “Little Lelos” had advantage and scored 5 tries. Ioseb Kikvadze, Vasil Lobzhanidze, Beka Gorgadze, Badri Liparteliani and Anzor Sichinava scored tries. Rezi Jinchvelashvili used 3 from 5 conversions. The first half finished 31:0.
In the second half the Uruguayans provoked the Georgians and referee sin-binned Giorgi Koshadze with the South American. The Georgian will miss the match against Fiji. Tornike Bubuteishvili also received yellow card.
However, the Georgians managed to score the 6th try and advanced 36:0. Then Uruguay managed to score a try. But at the end of the match Giorgi Babunashvili and Irakli Svanidze scored two beautiful tries. At the 6th minute of extra time Uruguay scored the second try and finally, the match ended up 46:12!
Georgia will hold the next match against Fiji.
