The Georgian delegation won the first gold medal at Dusseldorf Grand Prix. Tato Grigalashvili took the first place in 81 kg.
Tato beat Japan’s Takanori Nagase, Italy’s Antonio Esposito, Germany’s Alexander Wieczerzak and France’s Alpha Djalo.
In semifinal, the Georgian defeated Kyrgyzstan’s Vladimir Zoloev and Russia’s Khasan Khalmurzaev in final.
Nugzar Tatalashvili also competed in this weight category. He lost to Russia’s Aslan Lappinagov. Phridon Gigani and Lasha Shavdatuashvili could not win medal in 73 kg.
On Friday Vazha Margvelashvili won silver medal in Dusseldorf.
