Mamuka Gorgodze, rugby player of the Georgian national rugby union team, is unstoppable. After scoring try against “Toulonnais”, Gorgodze scored two tries against “Biarritz” and “Montpellier” gained bonus point.
“Gorgodzila” returned to the field in October. In the current season he held nine matches (4 at “Heineken Cup” and 5 in Top 14) and has already scored 5 tries.
This year Gorgodze was in the nomination for the best sportsman of Georgia but the Ministry of Sport did not make choice on him. However, the rugby world named Gorgodze as the best rugby player of Georgia for the fourth time.
Before this match “Montpellier” of Gorgodze and Mikheil Nariashvili had lost 5 matches in a row. So, this victory was very important for the club.
“Montpellier” earned 39 points and is in the 6th place.
“Clermont” of Davit Zirakashvili is leading with 49 points. The club beat “Oyonnax” 33:19. Zirakashvili was in lineup and played 64 minutes.
“Stade Francais” and “Perpignan” played each other without Davit Kubriashvili, Zurab Zhvania and Giorgi Zhgenti. The Paris club won the match 19:12 and is in the second place with 43 points. “Perpignan” is in the 11th place with 31 points.
“Castres” of Anton Peikrishvili visited “Grenoble” and lost 16:20. The Georgian showed up at the 53rd minute. “Castres” is in the 3rd place with 42 points.
“Racing Metro” of Davit Khinchagishvili hosted “Toulonnais” of Levan Chilachava and Kote Mikautadze and beat it 14:3. Khinchagishvili was in lineup and was substituted at the 36th minute. Chilachava showed up at the 77th minute. Mikautadze was on the list but he did not play. “Racing Metro” is in the 8th place with 37 points. “Toulonnais” is in the 4th place with 41 points. “Toulousain” of Vasil Kakovin and Jaba Bregvadze is in the 5th place with 40 points. The club lost to “Bayonnais” 13:21 without the Georgian legionaries.
“Bordeaux” of Zaza Navrozashvili won over “Brive” of Goderdzi Shvelidze and Karlen Aseishvili 27:23 without the Georgian legionaries. Shvelidze was in lineup and was replaced by Aseishvili. “Bordeaux” has 35 points and is in the 9th place. “Brive” is one place and 4 points behind “Bordeaux”.
The next round matches of Top 14 will be held on January 3-5.
